Very near and dear to us as my father, the late James David Soderberg put so much effort into CHUM in his tenure as the executive director. He blew it up! He recreated it by implementing programs for people to help them develop the resources to help themselves. He invented the Rhubarb Festival for Heaven's sake! Noah Hobb's has been doing an annual fundraiser for CHUM since the first year I reopened the long-vacant restaurant by slingin' $5 Tom & Jerry's at the door. He has the batta, we donate the sauce and I usually sleep well afterwards knowing that I was able to pay tribute to the fella that raised me and taught me about the futility of labor, and how we must sally forth even though it's not always fun. How very Minnesotan! He also turned a blind eye to me finding a little fun of my own, and that's why I do what I do today!

It's NYE so you have a lot of options but this is probably your best bet! It has been one hell of a year for probably everybody. Good things happened and bad things happened. if you made it, we are proud of you. If you didn't make it, we mourn for you (even though you can't read this). But as time continues to make its mark on our faces, we are gonna put some genuine smiles on your faces with our friends and partners in this wild and crazy rodeo called life, at the UMD Techno Club! We have a free toast at midnight (we are not going to call it champaign toast, as it's not, but it's some good Cava and they use secondary fermentation. It costs me more money, but what is money but energy being exchanged amiright (brrrrr)). A lot of shenanigans and a lot of fun will ensue. Kick rocks, 2025!
